On 24 November 2021, SaS announced its first batch of Superheroes Against Superbugs (SaS) Fellows. Over the next 6 months, these Fellows will develop creative tools, methods and approaches to engage school-going children and the public at large in India on the issue of antibiotic resistance. On 5 October 2021, SaS launched a first of its kind Fellowships for educators, science communication and public engagement practitioners, and young researchers based in India interested in developing creative tools, methods and approaches to engage school-going children and the public at large in India on the issue of antibiotic resistance. Learn more about the Fellowships here. SaS Fellowships are funded by Terry Hennessey Microbiology Fellowship provided to SaS via the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (BSAC)’s Stop Superbugs initiative and are being administered through LVPEI, Hyderabad.

SaS co-signs an open letter to WHO Executive Board and One Health Global Leaders Group to support Engagement of Young People on One-Health and #AMR by creating a ring-fenced fund and establishing a ‘United Digital Platform’ . The letter has been signed by 21 other organisations working with young people and AMR across the globe
